Entrance Requirements

All new students must undergo an initial screening as part of the application process. The evaluation is administered by appointment in the school office, and the results are used to determine the student's current academic level. The cost of the screening varies based on the student's grade level.

For all grade levels, final acceptance into First Lutheran School is based on space availability, entrance screening results, and school references and staff recommendations. Kindergarten entrance is determined by preschool recommendations and kindergarten readiness screening (Gesell Developmental Observation) results. Kindergartners must be five years old on or before September 1st and Transitional Kindergartners must be 5 by December 1st, to be eligible to enter kindergarten in Fall 2024.

Applications for the current school year are accepted on a space-available basis. Contact the school office for further information.
